terminal building

The airport of the city is the main air gate of the region. Its nature is widely known for its hills, and it was their image that served as a source of inspiration for the design of the airport complex, which includes the terminal building, a covered multi-level parking* and a hotel* (* - perspective). All structures are united by a semicircular canopy structure, which serves as protection from the heavy rainfall that so often occurs on the island. The architecture of the terminal building stylized repeats the outline of the hill (wave), which unites it with the surrounding relief. The compositional solution of the entire complex looks impressive both on approach to the airport and from ground level. Stained glass windows allow you to fill the interior space with natural light and give it lightness. The location and configuration of the projected terminal building are taken based on the preservation of the existing infrastructure of the terminal complex, construction in the conditions of the existing airport and the possibility of allocating start-up complexes that provide a full-fledged technological process. The terminal is a building of complex geometric shape: rectangular - from the side of the platform, curved - from the side of the forecourt. The complex shape of the building makes it possible to maximize the front of the vehicle entrance from the side of the forecourt and provide convenient maneuvering of aircraft to the galleries with air bridges from the side of the platform. Modern original architectural and artistic solutions of the air terminal complex create a unique image of an object that fully meets its functional purpose and high aesthetic requirements, allowing it to become an original and memorable building. The new terminal complex of the airport is being formed to the north of the existing terminal, in close proximity to the apron with aircraft parking areas. The building under design houses an air terminal for domestic and international airlines with an air checkpoint across the state border of the Russian Federation. The checkpoint across the state border of the Russian Federation is open on a permanent basis. In the project of the air checkpoint, a two-channel scheme of work (arrival-departure) was applied. According to the design assignment, the projected terminal at the airport has the following parameters: throughput capacity of domestic airlines at peak hour arrivals 550 passengers per hour, incl. business class passengers 80 pass/hour; throughput capacity of domestic airlines in peak hour departure 550 pass/hour, incl. business class passengers 80 pass/hour; throughput capacity of international airlines in peak hour arrivals 250 pass/hour, incl. business class passengers 20 pass/hour; throughput capacity of international airlines in peak hour arrivals 250 pass/hour, incl.  1nd floor. On the ground floor there are premises for the main technological purpose, additional services, service, auxiliary and technical premises. At the entrance to the terminal, on the way of all people entering the building, there is a security control point (anti-terror). In accordance with the current internal regulations, as well as regulatory documents on aviation security, security control at the entrance to the terminal building, pre-flight screening of domestic and international passengers, post-flight screening of domestic passengers is carried out with the obligatory passage of passenger screening. Passenger screening is carried out with the help of stationary metal detectors, luggage is checked with the help of introscopes. Passengers who, for health reasons (disabled persons with disabilities) cannot undergo procedures on a general basis, undergo a pre-flight screening in the personal screening rooms. Service for departing passengers is organized in two levels. On the first floor, at the entrance to the terminal building, there is a two-height hall for departing passengers, combined with the arrivals hall. Information kiosks, catering establishments, public toilets, as well as waiting areas are located in the departure/arrival hall. Directly adjacent to the departure/arrival hall are: airline offices; offices of travel companies; ticket offices. In the operating hall, special zones are organized for the stay of passengers with limited mobility in the arrivals and departures areas. By decision of the Customer, the registration of international passengers is organized before they pass customs control. Check-in points for oversized baggage are organized in the check-in areas for international flights and domestic flights. Separate areas for screening, processing and packing of luggage of domestic and international passengers are located taking into account the need for convenient access for container trolleys from the side of the apron. The baggage of arrived passengers of domestic and international flights in containers is delivered to the terminal building, to the baggage handling areas “arrivals” of domestic and international airlines, then conveyor delivery of baggage to the baggage claim areas for domestic and international passengers. On the 1st floor are located: an operating room with a check-in area for departing domestic and international passengers, areas for arriving domestic and international passengers; check-in area for domestic and international passengers with separate inspection and sorting rooms for domestic and international baggage for departure and arrival; hall of arrival and baggage claim for domestic passengers with a room for post-flight inspection of the SAB; arrival hall for international passengers with a border control hall, with a baggage claim hall, a customs control hall for international passengers upon arrival; exits to the platform for departing passengers of domestic and international flights for their delivery by buses to aircraft at long-distance parking lots; premises for inspection of the SAB, customs control, sorting of luggage of international airline passengers for departure and arrival; SAB screening rooms, baggage sorting of domestic passengers for departure and arrival; first-aid post; from the side of the platform there is a block of premises of the SKP isolator (sanitary and quarantine point); premises of the service checkpoint exit to the platform; point of inspection of goods, products delivered to the terminal building; bathrooms for passengers and staff of the terminal in technological zones; catering establishments; public toilets for passengers, toilets for staff; shopping kiosks; household premises; elevators, escalators for lifting to the 2nd floor to the waiting area; Technical buildings; stairwells and elevators. Separately with its own entrance to the terminal building, according to the terms of reference, there is a sector of VIP passengers. On the 1st floor in this sector there is a lobby, a baggage screening room, SOP and SAB service rooms, a staircase and an elevator to the 2nd floor. 2nd floor. From the side of the operating room in the public area there are: a long waiting room with a play area for children; public catering, trade enterprises; mother and child room; administrative and service premises of the terminal; premises of the LOP (linear department of the police in transport); a block of premises for a phytosanitary quarantine post (FKP) and a border veterinary checkpoint (PVKP); public toilets for passengers, toilets for staff. In the long waiting room there are special chairs for people with limited mobility. Such chairs are located near evacuation exits, stairwells, fireproof zones, elevators for the evacuation of passengers with limited mobility. Persons with disabilities who are not capable of self-evacuation can take refuge in fire-safe zones, from which they are rescued by fire departments. In the controlled area there are: a pre-flight screening area for the SAB of passengers of high-voltage airlines; a sterile waiting area for the departure of passengers of high-voltage airlines, in which catering establishments, retail premises, bathrooms for passengers and staff, and a high-comfort hall are located. From the sterile zone there are boarding gates through boarding galleries and telescopic ladders to the aircraft, through boarding galleries and stairwells to the level of the platform to buses for delivery to distant parking lots of aircraft; pre-flight security screening area for international passengers; hall for customs control of international passengers for departure with a block of operational premises; zone of border control of international passengers for departure with a block of operational premises; a sterile waiting area for the departure of international passengers, which houses: a block of a public catering establishment, a duty-free shop, bathrooms for passengers and staff, and a high-comfort hall.
