A swimming pool is a type of sports facility. According to the purpose, the pools are divided into bathing, educational, sports and mixed types, which are designed on natural and artificial reservoirs. Receptions of space-planning decisions of this type of structures are determined by the mutual placement of two blocks - the main bath and auxiliary rooms. So, their placement can be from the side of the main hall, along one side of the hall (longitudinal), along the perimeter of the hall (transverse), baths for swimming, jumping and swimming training are placed in separate blocks, united by auxiliary rooms (blocked). In limited areas, multi-level pools are built, where two main blocks (the main bath and auxiliary rooms) are placed on different floors in turn one above the other. Due to the specifics of sanitary and hygienic conditions, a schedule for the movement of visitors and the placement of pool rooms ordered in the correct sequence is determined: a vestibule and a wardrobe for outerwear, followed by a reception, then locker rooms, a preparatory room, bathrooms and showers, foot baths, the main hall of the pool. The ways of movement of spectators and athletes, as well as their places of stay (except for pools with a small number of spectators) should be separated. The preparatory room is located between the dressing rooms and the bathroom. Auxiliary s the premises are divided into the following main groups: utility rooms, premises for radio and television commentators and press bureaus; spectators and athletes; judges and coaches; administrative and business premises. The composition of the premises for spectators includes lobbies, wardrobes, foyers, corridors, buffets, bathrooms, ticket offices and rooms for VIP visitors. For athletes: cafeterias, vestibules with wardrobes, showers, a medical office, locker rooms, massage rooms, first-aid posts, rooms for athletes to relax and for preparations before going out.
