The functioning of the city in winter inevitably leads to the need to remove snow and deal with icing of roads. De-icing is carried out mainly by chemical methods, which leads to the entry of large masses of chemical reagents into water basins and soil massifs, polluting surface and ground waters and posing a threat to flora and fauna and humans. Storing snow for its natural melting in spring or dumping it into the river network of the city leads to significant changes in the chemical composition of the main components of the environment (soil, water, air). In this regard, it is necessary to effectively remove large snow and ice masses and their disposal with minimal technical and economic costs. The use of sewers to melt snow collected from roads is justified. The capacity of urban treatment facilities is sufficient to receive runoff from snow that has melted in snow melting points. The specified solution is used in the projects presented in this section. Estimated performance of a stationary snow-melting station can meet the needs of a large area of ​​the city in the processing of snow. The need of snow melting points for electricity is approximately 0,5 mVA (snow melting point), power supply category - III. The projects do not provide for the use of raw materials and secondary resources. Special technical conditions for the development of projects are not required.
