General information.

The designed facility is a shelter for homeless animals. A specially equipped complex is designed to simultaneously accommodate 160 dogs and 40 cats. The complex is a place for stray, lost or abandoned animals and has four main functions: prompt assistance and care of the animal, including relief of suffering through veterinary care or euthanasia; long-term care for an animal that has not immediately found an old or new owner; efforts to reunite a lost animal with its former owner; searching for a new habitat or a new owner for a homeless animal. During the construction of the shelter, the use of the following technological solutions is proposed: year-round maintenance system thanks to heated booths; feeding with wet and commercial dry food for animals; preparing feed in the feed kitchen; a system of keeping dogs in individual enclosures and keeping cats in a heated room with cages of one individual at a time; placing cats and dogs in different rooms out of sight of each other; the drinking system includes drinking water from bowls; Freezers are provided for temporary storage of food and biological waste; cleaning of bedding in enclosures is carried out manually by staff; supply and exhaust ventilation of the shelter building with mechanical and natural impulse, see section OV; Bowls and cups are washed daily; At least once a week, feeders and drinkers (bowls) must be disinfected or replaced; Sanitary cleaning of all premises must be carried out at least once a month.
